Donegal Railway Heritage Museum showcases the best of our railway heritage in this part of Ireland. As well as a museum it also has audio/visual displays, railway stock and a fantastic shop selling unique Donegal Railway gifts specially commissioned by the museum.

The poster, in B2 size, 70cm-50cm, is in fantastic detail, in glorious colour. This iconic poster produced in 1910 features many landmarks from Donegal including Donegal Castle, Barnsmore Gap, Killybegs, the cliffs of Slieve League, Lough Eske, Glencolumbkille as well as a nice view of Derry City. Included with this poster is a Free “Withdrawal of Railway Services” poster, produced in fantastic detail, in its original size, 62cm x 46cm. The quality reproduction on cream paper originally issued by the County Donegal Railway Joint Committee states the sad news of the final closing of railway services between Strabane and Killybegs, Strabane and Letterkenny, and Donegal and Ballyshannon was to cease operation after 31st December 1959 TOTAL COST: €10 plus €8 for P&P = €18.   • Offer 3 – The two Michael Bunch “Donegal Railway Diary, Part 1 & Part 2” as a set for a special price combined of €25 (+ P&P), normally €30 (+ P&P)! “Part 1” showcases previously unpublished 1950’s photographs of the County Donegal Railway with diary text written at the time. “Part 2” contains significant material with previously unpublished photographs showing trains in operation until its closure in 1959, but also a record of the sad decline of the railway since. Michael as a railway enthusiast had the fortune to be based in Derry in the 1950’s and during this time had a chance to visit and photograph the narrow gauge County Donegal lines as well as keeping an associated diary describing his visits. Photographs of railway stock also include locations in Stranorlar, Killybegs, Raphoe, Letterkenny, Lifford, Ballyshannon, Letterkenny, Castlefinn, Glenties, Strabane and Derry
